(सुश्री) शरद सिंह को नई दिल्ली से प्रकाशित होने वाली पत्रिका ‘सामयिक सरस्वती’ के उत्कृष्ट संपादन के लिए राज्यस्तरीय ‘रामेश्वर गुरू पुरस्कार 2017’ से माधवराव सप्रे समाचारपत्र संग्रहालय एवं शोध संस्थान, भोपाल की ओर से संग्रहालय के पं. झाबरमल्ल शर्मा सभागार में 12 जनवरी 2018 को आयोजित एक भव्य सम्मान समारोह में सम्मानित किया गया। डॉ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह ‘सामयिक सरस्वती’ की कार्यकारी संपादक हूं । डॉ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह को यह सम्मान मध्यप्रदेश विधान सभा के अध्यक्ष डॉ. सीतासरन शर्मा, बरकतउल्ला विश्वविद्यालय, भोपाल के कुलपति डॉ. प्रमोद वर्मा, राज्यसभा सदस्य आर. के. सिन्हा एवं सप्रे संग्रहालय के संस्थापक निदेशक पद्मश्री विजयदत्त श्रीधर ने संयुक्तरूप से प्रदान किया।

Dr. (Miss) Sharad Singh

    Dr (Miss) Sharad Singh is a Hindi fiction and non-fiction eminent writer. She writes prolifically for newspapers on current issues concerning women, and adopts a questioning, daring and challenging stance in her writings. She, as a writer is best known for her novels ‘Pichhale Panne Ki Auraten’, ‘Pachakauri’ and ‘Kasbai Simon’. She wrote remarkable books on women discourse ‘Patton Me Quid Auraten’, ‘Aurat Teen Tasveeren’,‘Dr Ambedkar Ka Stri Vimarsh’, ‘Adhi Duniya Poori Dhoop’, ‘Gadar Ki Chingariyan’ etc. With story books more than 50 Books to her credit on topics ranging from Environment, Forensic Science, History, Tribal Life & Culture and Religious writings. She is an expert in Indian History and Culture and has done her Ph.D. on ‘Sculptures of Khajuraho’. She has also written scripts for TV documentaries, Radio serials and has penned various plays. Apart from these, she writes regular columns in Hindi newspapers, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter and magazines. She has been awarded by many state governments for her contribution to Hindi literature and is the recipient of the prestigious ‘Govind Vallabh Pant National Award’ by Government of India Cultural Department. She is the Executive Editor of Hindi magazine ‘Samayik Saraswati’ at present.

         Sharad was born in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, the daughter of renowned Hindi Poetess Vidyawati “Malavika" . Her family well educated. Sharad grew up in Panna, where her mother works as a Lecturer at the Manhar Girls Govt.H.H.School. Her father Ramdhari Singh expired, when she was only 2 year old. Sharad's mother wanted her children to grow up knowing their literary contribution.

When she began kindergarten in Panna, Sharad's grandparents belong to motherside decided to call her Sharad instead of Sharad Kumari, because it was a name of a season & her older sister’s name is Varsha. Usually the names of boys are named ‘Sharad’. Sharad recalled, "I always felt so embarrassed by my name.... You feel like you're causing someone pain just by being who you are."  Sharad graduated from Chhatrasal Degree College, Panna and received her B.A. in Economics, History & Hindi from Sagar University.

Sharad then received multiple degrees from Sagar & Rewa University: a M.A. in Medieval Indian History, a M.A. in Ancient Indian History & Archeological, a B.Ed. in  Education, and a Ph.D. in ‘Sculptures of Khajuraho’. She took various literary works. Sharad has taught History at various Schools. She worked as Script Writer at Dr Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar M.P. 

Many people criticise her by saying that she’s bold, in her novels. ‘Pichhale Panne Ki Auraten’ belongs to Bediya cast of Bundelkhand. ‘Pachakauri’ belongs to political controversy and ‘Kasbai Simon’ belongs to Live in relation.

Sharad examines her characters' struggles, anxieties, and biases to chronicle the nuances and details of human psychology and behavior. Her writeups based on research work.

At present she lives in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India and she is work as freelance writer and executive editor of literary magazin "Samayik Saraswati" published from New Delhi.
She has written extensively for newspapers for a couple of decades. She is also a social activist who works silently. She is trying to awareness of women of rural areas and make collaboration between NGO, government bodies and needy women by her write up.

डॉ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह , लेखिका एवं सम्पादिका

माधवराव सप्रे स्मृति समाचार संग्रहालय एवं शोध संस्थान भोपाल द्वारा उत्कृष्ट पत्रिका सम्पादन के लिए दिया जाने वाला इस वर्ष का " रामेश्वर गुरू पत्रकारिता पुरस्कार " लेखिका, कवयित्री, साहित्यकार एवं ‘‘सामयिक सरस्वती‘‘ की कार्यकारी संपादक डॉ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह  को प्रदान किया जाएगा। भोपाल में आयोजित संस्थान की बैठक में डॉ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह को यह पुरस्कार देने का निर्णय लिया गया है। सप्रे संग्रहालय का राज्यस्तरीय पुरस्कार समारोह 12 जनवरी को भोपाल में आयोजित किया जाएगा। समारोह में सुश्री सिंह को यह पुरस्कार मध्यप्रदेश विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष डॉ. सीतासरण शर्मा प्रदान करेंगे। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करेंगे बरकतउल्ला विश्वविद्यालय भोपाल के कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) प्रमोद वर्मा । सप्रे संग्रहालय एवं शोध संस्था द्वारा लेखन, साहित्यिक पत्रिका के सम्पादन तथा पत्रकारिता के क्षेत्र में विशेष योगदान देने वाली विभूतियों को विगत अनेक वर्षों से सम्मानित करता आ रहा है।
राज्य स्तरीय रामेश्वर गुरू पत्रकारिता सम्मान पुरस्कार से सम्मानित होने वाली वरिष्ठ लेखिका डाॅ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह द्वारा  लिखित विभिन्न विषयों पर लगभग पचास पुस्तकें अब तक प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं। उन्होंने शोषित, पीड़ित स्त्रियों के पक्ष में अपने लेखन के द्वारा हमेशा आवाज़ उठाई है।  बुन्देलखण्ड की बेड़िया स्त्रियों पर केन्द्रित उनकी पुस्तक ‘पिछले पन्ने की औरतें’, महिला बीड़ी श्रमिकों पर केन्द्रित ‘पत्तों में कैद औरतें’ तथा स्त्री विमर्श पुस्तक ‘औरत तीन तस्वीरें’ मनोरमा ईयर बुक में शामिल की जा चुकी हैं। लिव इन रिलेशन पर उनके उपन्यास 'कस्बाई सिमोन' को राष्ट्रीय एवं प्रादेशिक स्तर के अनेक सम्मान प्राप्त हो चुके हैं। उनका एक और उपन्यास "पचकौड़ी" राजनैतिक और पत्रकारिता जगत की पर्तों का बारीकी से विश्लेषण करने वाला पठनीय एवं लोकप्रिय उपन्यास है।
खजुराहो की मूर्तिकला विषय में पीएचडी , सागर की प्रतिष्ठित साहित्यकार, कथालेखिका एवं उपन्यासकार डॉ शरद सिंह वर्तमान में मध्यप्रदेश के सागर नगर में निवास करते हुए स्वतंत्र लेखन के कार्य के साथ नई दिल्ली से प्रकाशित साहित्यिक पत्रिका "सामयिक सरस्वती" में कार्यकारी सम्पादक का दायित्व निभा रहीं हैं एवं पत्र-पत्रिकाओं सहित सोशल मीडिया पर वे लगातार अपनी सक्रियता बनाए हुए हैं। वे मानती हैं कि अधिकारों का ज्ञान और साहस ही स्त्रियों को शोषण-मुक्त जीवन दे सकता है। सागर से प्रकाशित होने वाले दैनिक समाचार पत्र "सागर दिनकर" में उनका नियमित कॉलम "चर्चा प्लस" अनेक समसामयिक मुद्दों पर विश्लेषणात्मक लेखन के लिए प्रबुद्ध पाठकों के बीच अपनी विशिष्ट पहचान बनाए हुए है। इससे पूर्व डाॅ. (सुश्री) शरद सिंह सागर से ही प्रकाशित होने वाले दैनिक समाचार पत्र "आचरण" में अनेक वर्षों तक "बतकाव" शीर्षक का नियमित कॉलम लेखन कर चुकी हैं।
